From beach bar to empty building
Chiringuito Restaurante La Barca was a classic Spanish beach bar: a place to sit with your feet in the sand, have a cold drink and look out over the sea. Over the years, operations ground to a halt, and the building stood empty on the beach for many years.
Demolished at Easter 2022
In the week leading up to Easter 2022, La Barca was demolished, and the beach in front of Playa Tropical was cleared. The pictures below are from the association's own archive.
